Joy Celeste Crawford is a spiritual guide called to walk the edges of Christianity. She lives in intimate relationship with the Sacred Feminine, attuned to the deep mysteries of Earth and the cyclical consciousness that gives birth to all creation. A beekeeper and forager of wild medicinal plants, she recognizes the sacramental agency of Earth to heal the deepest wounds of our world.
Joy is founder of the Spiritual Life Center of Virginia, LLC, co-founder of Church of the Wild River, and of Kindred Project - an international contemplative prayer gathering. She holds Masters Degrees in Theology and Christian Education, and Certificates in Spiritual Guidance from the Shalem Institute, Eco-Ministry from Seminary of the Wild, and Ethical Psychedelic Care from the Synthesis Institute.
Joy currently serves as a spiritual director with the Christian Psychedelic Society, Ligare. She also provides individual and group spiritual guidance, monthly Wild Church services, retreats, dream work, foraging classes, and women's groups.
She lives in rural Virginia with her husband and dog on the James River and is mother of two fierce and compassionate adult daughters.
